Taking properties of shape, and making it way more fun.
Too often is the labelling of a circle limited to this:
I suspect this plays a part in students struggling to solve geometry problems further down the line. They expect lines in circles to follow this format.
So I made a new activity to work alongside the above picture:
What a fabulous idea this is. Aimed at younger students, this task involves using see through plastic yoghurt pot lids, drawing and labelling shapes on them, then going around trying to find things that match the shape.
