I managed to come up with 9/2 or 4.5 for the area of the orange pentagon. I took the area of the 4cm x 4cm square and subtracted the areas of the other shapes until the pentagon was the only thing left. Reply

The top triangle doesn’t have an easy area: vertices (0,4) (4,4) and (~2.7,~2.8)

I came up with 9/2 or 4.5.

59/14

123

Is the answer 75/14cm^2?

Could you please explain how you got this?

4,21
