Finding the Average Laugh

This may seem odd, but bear with me! Students watch the clip, and rate each goat on a scale of 1-5 for how funny it is. Once the clip is finished, they have a set of data. Prompting questions like ‘how funny was it overall’ and leading into averages.

This works for a whole range of things. Use your imagination… but preview the videos you choose before playing them to the class! I used it as part of a lesson you can find here:
